We; I am referring the tech generation, are true social creatures. The technology has made as us aware of our existence. This self awareness has lead us to connect and contact other beings, because we understand that we are not alone. Technology made it easy for us to stay in contact at times and maybe all the time. So after controversial videos on YouTube, many countries ban YouTube. YouTube is now not accessible here in Pakistan too. It's not impossible to access YouTube.

How much we will allow Facebook to share?

But still there is a price to pay. You share you private information online and share it with not just your friend's but the people who are in your profile.
Now there is one lill set back, it's not only sharing your private data with the people you never but also with third party applications or websites. This is something that Facebook users are concerned of. Now here many of you may ask what to share with whom. My friend asked me: I have lots of friend's on Facebook but I don't want to share everything on my timeline to everyone. <br>
I answered him it's soo simple boy, you must know that Facebook is based on the view that you should not feel shy in sharing your personal information to people from different community or ethnicity. This is what you sign when you agrees to terms and conditions of Facebook. That means the adds and apps use our data for their purposes.
Now after understanding this that it's not fault of Facebook, you should know that you can keep data private.
First thing to do is to organize your friends and family in lists. Make lists as much as you like or want. There are some auto generated lists by Facebook. If you want much strong privacy then ignore all auto lists. Make your own and enter appropriate friends is list.
Second you should know how to change privacy modes in settings. Goto in top right corner bluebar you will see dropdown arrow button. Click it and you will see your pages and your advert and it has also settings for account and privacy.

Goto account settings, there see your password last change date. Change password time to time and take backups for your Facebook. Many don't know that you can do this on Facebook.

Now goto security settings there keep secure browsing on. Click on login approvals and on it so that each unrecognized location is logged. Add recognized device to your list.

Now you goto notifications and set there settings as required ( will be writing a blog on security. So this will be explained in detail there)
Now in subscriber settings you should change your settings to friends, if you are very private person. The options there are self explanatory. Set them as you like.

After restricting your subscribers you can now move on applications that are using your data. At applications you will see list of all your apps that you have used. Do click an application and you will see what options you have allowed and why the application needs it.

If you see post on your behalf, there you will see who can see your post set it to your liking. I recommend using custom settings and only add people who uses this app so others won't get disturbed by posts of applications.

Many applications are used once so remove such applications that you don't use anymore. You can set your notifications too in the settings.

To really get secure or staying private, You can use your privacy settings or edit your Timeline to control who sees the information/posts there.

 There you will fnd default settings, do click on custom and add lists you want your posts to be shared with and add lists in "Hide this from" to hide posts from. This will manage your posts by default.

To put apps in mode of privacy and to put your other stuff and post shared by your friends see below.

here you will see five or six menu. Click on how you connect and you will see that you can easily manage privacy of your posts. Limit the audience to your liking in last option so that all timeline is not visible.
Now the place comes where we are/ Facebook users are mostly concerned.
On Facebook, your name, profile picture, gender, networks, username and user id (account number) are always publicly available. Now you will see a list of settings go to apps you use and you will see that you have already configured it. Next edit how people option and select appropriate options only. Instant personalization will take you to Facebook video tutorial and it will help you understand alot good features.

Public search and also the settings for adverts can be found here and you can easily manage your data.

Now the big question what about tags and sharing of others on your wall. Goto Timeline and Tagging there you will find options to set how your wall will place activity. Posts you choose not to include on your timeline may still appear elsewhere on Facebook.Now you usecstom option and add list of people whom you like to share the post your tagged in.

So all in all Facebook still doing grate job to provide the privacy needed by user but it got more complex and time taking but once set you will have a great peace of mind.

How to download movies online/from hosting service?

This is the question that many of my friends asks me. With the advent of networking; people started sharing stuff online. Now there are many sharing severs that provides services of sharing stuff you own online. This practice is practice is prohibited. As movies are made with the expenditure of millions of dollars and they have commercial value. Likewise the sharing of songs of an artist is prohibited online; because artist don't get its royalty. Everyone wants to make money and songs, movies, and drama has commercial  value.

Now apart from the whole sharing prohibition act, there are many blogs and sites that gives you links to download stuff.. And there are many free severs that provide such sharing servicing. We all like to share stuff to friends. if i like a song i would love to share it with you. Once i made a files of movie IN GOD'S HAND  and uploaded it to my server and shared it to my friends.

There are  certain good sites that let you download movies or songs from links. One of them is urgrove.com

I personally like the name of the site and it has grate collection of dvd and bluray movies. If you want some low quality movie then you go to the moviesmobile.net. A site has good collection of movies old and new ones. moviesmobile.net has fast download servers but the qualities of movies will look better on mobile but i do watch some movie and they were ok in quality.

How to download Movie from FlashPlayer (Like Youtube.com, Moveshare.net, Gorillavid.in) sites?

Now we don't want to use jdownloader as it is a java based software and sometimes people don't like interface or taking too much memory. This is very common question downloading movies using Divx and Flv sites. This is how it can be achieved.
There are not many free good software for this purpose. I find Internet Download Manager suitable for this purpose. I is really fast downloader and a good one too. Get all flv,Mp4 or Divx download. For a little price you can get it.

Whats better OS

So we come to the big question.. What is better OS?(Operating Systems)

Well as a user i am not satisfied by any of the OS .. its general. Its never enough for us we want more from OS. And now touch screens has made it more complex. Okay now why i am comparing because one of my friends said that he has a system and just want to load something OS on it. But the big question is which one.

Windows:
Personally windows is a first system i would go for but now in market it has so many versions that i dont know which one to use. Well it is said that windows is the system for every user but Many of my friends dont know how to. Windows Seven is more complex than Windows XP. Microsoft got very enthusiatic with looks and feel in it but forgot that what they did was more complex. Many of Windows seven users started putting their data on desktop because navigation is hard in seven.
There is one more thing i dont know how to handle a problem in seven. If there is driver conflict you dont know where to go. Many trouble shooting attempts led me to realize that its not worth time wasting.
One of my friend was voice skyping me and i a middle the voice dropped. Luckily skype provide screen share and i walked my friend through the whole thing. While skyping she clicked on voice control (left bottom corner) in task bar and removed default voice controller. Many such clicks can occur involuntarily. Still windows seven is better in many ways. It gives more options more control and beautiful looks.
Mac:
Now this looks like something out of the comic books. Its a cape crusader of OS. Saving time and money with applications and security features. But still its hard in looks i mean it tries to create soft environment to work with but hard in GUI (Graphical User Interface). Removed many complexities. But it is still hard form many users to learn. But games dont go well on mac. There are ways through which you can have a perfect Mac system but still you dont like it much.

Ubuntu: Kbuntu : (Many More...)
Samart simple secure and best of all its free. the one feature i like is its free. But then again its hard to learn not many system drivers are present. Apps and games are not enough.Movie and sound system is same on all hardware. But you know what i like ubuntu , its evolving and getting better every day. My all systems has ubuntu and windows XP running side by side and i live it. The environment feels good and there is screen switcher its great. WiFi works but hardware installation and configuration is not so good. One more thing for ubuntu users, there is an app available if you want to run windows files on in Ubuntu. giving cloud connection and others its awesome.12.04 is out now and i am still using without any problems 11.0 version.

Google OS:
Google the giant, has fully unleashed its mobi dick. But soon it will do some damage to all previous working OS. I think it should be free of cost Google OS is hard core Linux based OS. But in my opinion some features are not right. Looks good feels good when you use but memory just like in chrome is used much . For slow systems its not good. Many laptops has google OS but you have to buy system and much needed marketing is not done of the system.Many users dont know it exist.

For me the best combination of Os would be Windos XP and Ubuntu. Both have their pros and cons but for users its easy and worth installing . Both have really good installion wizards and all drivers get easil;y configured. If you need something applications are present. Both has their own and other commercial license  Anti-virus removers. So dont worry install any one of these and open the window of possibilities.

IP Changing Hack

This is what I like about internet or networks.. there is always a way out. PTA( Pakistan Telecommunication Authority ) has blocked certain sites lately. I like to watch series online and some of site are block. It gets on my nerve and started to route my router manually, but then i thought what would my friends do they are not professional network managers. They don't even know whats is ARP ( Address Resolution Protocol ).

Now the thing is that changing proxy servers is easy. You can do it with a simple software like Hide My IP. I am not promoting any software here but this is good one if you want to do access restricted websites.I like it because its low cost and efficient and so many different options easy to customized.
Now i am able to do my work and watch series.

This is only for good use not to hack someone Else's computer. And one more thing do buy if you want to use this software. We who developers put life in every piece of code and when you don't buy it your feeding on our blood.

FaceBook Timeline Solution

Whats up with the facebook time line ... many of facebook users are not liking the new look many wants to revert back to old look. The facebook also issued a note that soon all profiles will be converted to time line. If some one does not want time line what should they do. This is the question of hour .

TimeLine has cool slake and time stream design but people do like the wall it was easy one post after another. Time line is doing the same but looks are different. I liked the wall much better. To make things more complex, if some one converted to timeline they cannot go back to old look. So there is no going back to old look if once you started using time line.

Why time line is here .. You all must have heard of Google + , time line is to keep users on facebook. But time line is not that much user friendly in look. I hope Google + stays like this one post at a time in wall format.
Now the solution.. "Its Soo Simple" >>>

-there is a bug in timeline it is incompatible with older internet explorer so if you want your wall view start using older internet explorer .


I hope you will find this easy to do. But many of  OS dont or cant install older versions because they already have the new ones. For every problem in IT world we have a simple solution. Many people heard the word cloud; now here is the power of cloud computing.
As a developer we have to test web solutions on every browsers older versions and also the new ones. So the solution is not to install all browsers on your OS but "Its Soo Simple" >>>

Go there make account and use their facility there are also tons of software that you can use and install on cloud. To end that time line is good addition but Facebook give some time so that people can get acquainted with timeline format before making it official face book format.

Introduction

Hello!!!!!!!!!

My of my friends and colleagues come to me for advice in matters related to computer software, installations, recovery maintaining databases, security, data binding, windows trouble shooting, ubuntu shooting and technology related.
